Tetbury is located in the Cotswolds, in the south of Gloucestershire. Gloucestershire is in the West of England, South-West of Birmingham and West of London. The nearest large city is Bristol, which is further west.Tetbury itself is a heaven for antiques enthusiasts. With over 30 antique shops, the town has grown to earn an international reputation as a fantastic trip if you are in search of an antique. There are also many other specialist shops, selling a wide range of goods you might not expect to find on your normal high street. At the centre of the town is the famous Town Hall, which appears to be built on stilts. The hall features the famous clock and dolphins, which have become Tetbury's logo. The Market House is still in regular use as a meeting place and a small market. Although the goods sold have changed since the building was built in 1655, the market house is still a fine example of a pillared Cotswold market hall. Several of the shops have earned a royal warrant and most are independently owned. There is also a Police Bygones Museum, with various memorabilia of days gone by. The church is also worth a look, with the fourth largest spire in the country.
