Cllr Hardisty, Vice Chairman of the Planning Committee, took the Chair in the absence of Cllr Goring.

Apologies were received from Cllrs Goring and Messenger, together with Cllr Prince in his capacity as Tree Warden.

4.         Minutes of the last meeting

            Minutes of the last meeting held on 15th May 2006 were approved and signed.

  

5.         Matters arising

            Willmers Farm: High Court ruling

At the request of the Committee, the TVA representative explained that the Court's decision to quash the planning inspector's decision to refuse planning permission was due to a technicality in that there was an error of fact so that the inspector's report could not stand. This would therefore have no ramifications on any other possible developments.

Fell 1 Lime tree (Works to Trees in Conservation Area)                                                     

As these works will result in the loss of a tree within the Conservation Area, may I strongly

suggest the planting of a replacement so as to maintain the character and amenities of the area.

The verges on Crays Lane between the B2133 and Peacocks Lane are in a dangerous state and the banks may need to be reinstated - clerk to contact WSCC Highways.

 

Chevron installed at Snapes corner; complaint received from resident which will be followed up by Cllr Berry.

 

Cllr Dawes will contact Gary Peck re HDC/design and will advise if to be included on next agenda.
