4. Correspondence DC/05/0309 (T/05/06) Willmers Farm, Coolham Road, Thakeham Erection of 3 detached dwellings Planning Inspectorate to decide the appeal again, comments invited STRONG OBJECTION. The proposed development is wholly contrary to the Countryside policies.1. There is insufficient justification for the proposed erection of dwellings on this site which lies in a rural area and is not related to the needs of agriculture, forestry, the extraction of minerals or the disposal of waste. 2. The site is outside the limits of any existing town or village and if permitted the development would constitute an undesirable element of sporadic development in a rural area. 3. Because of its siting and scale the proposal would be detrimental to the rural character of the area as it would be obtrusive in the landscape and prominent from surrounding viewpoints.
5. Affordable Housing Cllr Goring reported that RHT had confirmed that no applications have been received to register interest. A reminder will be included in the newsletter and also with the results of the Action Plan. The survey form has been signed off by RHT subject only to minor amendments.

DC/06/1567 (T/06/41) South Hill, Storrington Road, Thakeham First floor extension, subdivision of dwelling to create 2 dwellings and double garage (DME) OBJECTION because of the loss of privacy and amenity to the neighbours in the adjoining property, who have also expressed concern regarding the potential exacerbation of an existing drainage problem.
