4. Minutes of the last meeting Minutes of the last meeting held on 7th November 2006 were approved and signed.
5. Correspondence DC/06/1133 (T/06/27) Willmers Farm, Coolham Road, Thakeham Demolition and removal of existing structures and slurry beds, reclamation of tipped land to pasture land and woodland and erection of 2 dwellings, garages and access Notice of Planning Appeal
6. Planning Applications for considerationDC/06/2731 (T/06/58) Green Dene Farmhouse, Storrington Road, Thakeham New access to highway and garage (KD) DC/06/2732 (T/06/59) Green Dene Farmhouse, Storrington Road, Thakeham New garage (Listed Building Consent) (KD) Concern was expressed over these applications. This is a dangerous stretch of road and the new access should therefore replace the existing one and be subject to adequate visibility to ensure highway safety. The maximum amount of hedgerow should be retained and the current driveway should be removed and planted. Demolition of the existing garage is not mentioned in the application; it should be removed to avoid overdevelopment of the site.

The materials to be used in the development hereby permitted shall strictly accord with those indicated on the approved plans
DC/06/2261 (T/06/48) 18 Furze Common Road, Thakeham 2 storey side extension 2. The materials and finishes of all new external walls and roofs of the development hereby permitted shall match in type, colour and texture those of the existing building. 3. Notwithstanding the provisions of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 or Orders amending or revoking and re-enacting the same, no windows or other openings (other than those shown on the plans hereby approved) shall be formed in the western elevation of the development without the prior permission of the Local Planning Authority pursuant to an application for the purpose.
DC/06/2329 (T/06/50) Wentworth, High Bar Lane, Thakeham 2. The tree work to which this consent relates shall be limited to; (a) Trim western side of hedge and cut height to 4m above ground level. 3. The surgery to which this consent relates shall be carried out in accordance with BS 3998 ‘Recommendations for Tree Work' (1989). Where applicable, retained side shoots intended to form the new dominant shoot must be at least 30% of the diameter of the parent branch.
