AGE CONCERN - NORTHUMBERLAND

State Pensions and Benefits are now usually paid directly into an account. Age Concern Northumberland has set up a service, "Money Maze", to fully inform people of the options now available to them for payment of state pensions. Free, confidential information about the changes can be obtained by phoning the Information Line on 08450 950 150 between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm Monday to Friday. Calls are charged at local rate.

Bill Walker, Money Maze co-ordinator said, "I am available to visit local groups or clubs to explain about the options available for receiving state pensions and other benefit payments.  I will give details of further help and support that is available locally. In addition, we can help older people get accurate, up to date information to make an informed choice about their preferred payment method and to resolve any difficulties they may be experiencing.
