The Clerk said the PCSO's were appealing to members of the public to park considerately and that there had been several visits by the Police Traffic Dept. who had dealt with road traffic issues. She reminded Cllrs that parking had been decriminalised and now the responsibility of Local District Council; she had requested the attendance of parking enforcement officers in the village.
7. Wellesbourne Roads REPORT FROM CHAIRMAN APPENDED 7.1 Roads surfaces/pot holes In response to the letter sent to WCC by Mr Gunter (Wellesbourne Hall) asking why the turning circle at the end of Church Walk had not been resurfaced, it was noted that this area had not been adopted by WCC. When approached by WPC, WCC said if WPC paid the £10,000 to bring it up to standard they would adopt it however, the proposals to tarmac the area were rejected by the residents and therefore it was not completed. Mr Gunter had also stated that there was a problem with pot holes outside Wellesbourne Hall on the road edge. ACTION: Request costing from WCC for surface at end of turning circle - look at pot holes outside Wellesbourne Hall & report if required | BY: Office |
Drainage See appended report - further to the report, Cllrs felt that due to the potential danger to road users and pedestrians during cold weather that WCC should be pressed to carry out work required in Church Street. Cllr TC said that the Environmental Agency were holding discussions with John Brown (WCC) regarding Chapel Street and Willow Drive and resolutions to the surface water run-off problems. |
