Wellesbourne Parish Councillor David Close says,
"The support group and villagers have been the drivers of keeping this fabulous place from careless destruction and development. The Parish council are fully behind the efforts to keep this place alive. Earlier this year a Friends of Chedham's Yard was set up. They have been most active in promoting the project with photographic and artefact exhibitions, selling promotional polo shirts and mugs and organising displays for the television cameras. Most significantly they have galvanised the community into supporting the project which we all hope will be rewarded with a favourable response when Wellesbourne and Chedham's Yard is on prime time television."
