 FLOODWATCH

Information on Flooding from the Environment Agency

Further to my email of 26th August (set out below), I have been advised that the telephone number for Floodline supplied by the Environment Agency was incorrect and should have been 0845 988 1188. EA has also advised that bulk orders of the flood information guides should not be directed to Floodline but that these will instead be dealt with by EA.

The contact is Rachel Mullens,  01454 624478
rachel.mullen@environment-agency.gov.uk.

Please see the link for three downloadable guides sent to Parish Clerks by Mick Potter (wcc), I will arrange a hard copy of each to be available in the office.   For information, the Environment Agency has produced three flood guides for the general public. The guides give practical advice on preparing for a flood and what to do during and after a flood. The guides are currently available in English and bilingually in English and Welsh. The Environment Agency are also in the process of producing audio versions to be available for November. The guides are currently available at local Environment Agency events, by telephone order to Floodline 0800 988 1188, and at their website at: http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/subjects/flood/826674/830330/?version=1&lang=_e.

Alternatively, they can be downloaded from the EPU website - http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/epu.
